Deco London, part 1


Florin Court, Charterhose Square, Smithfield. 1936, designed by Guy Morgan and Partners. Used in the "Hercule Poirot" tv series as Poirots' residence.










Fox, Leather Goods. London Wall, Moorgate. 1936. Clad in chrome, glass and black vitrolite, with vertically curved windows, just like Heals on Tottenham Court Road. Fox closed down in 2011, but has since reopened as "Author".








Ibex House, Minories, City of London. 1937, deisgned by Fuller, Hall and Foulsham. Largest surviving example of streamline moderne in London.
