Ghost Signs, Royal Mile, Edinburgh

Speaking of Ghost signs, I was up in Edinburgh for the weekend. I took some snaps of the faded signs that you get at the entrance to the "closes", extremely narrow streets leading off the Royal Mile in Edinburgh.

More Boats

Following on from all the boats of the last couple of days, here are some bigger boats, a grain transporter, the Jolie Birse, turning around in a small dock, and the royal yacht Brittania.

Springvalley Gardens

Just off a wee road in Morningside, Edinburgh, is a Wild West street. Created, i think, by a timber merchant as a piece of advertising, or something, it is actually quite impressive.

It would have been nice if "SpaceLab" had gotten into the spirit of things with their signage like "Scotweb" up the stairs did.
