More Models of London

Theres not actually as many models of London as there should be...the one in the Building Centre, Legoland, and there's one in the Transport Museum are the only ones I can think of. Here are a few smaller bits of London modelled.

Heres a model of London in the Civil War times, in Spitalfields Market. It's actually a work of art, details here - http://www.craftpegg.com/page16.html

A wee model showing the area round City Hall and Potters Fields Park.

All the important bits of London modelled on a Camden shop

A London street in relief on a building down the Strand.

Roman London in the Museum of London.

And Legoland

And some more.

And in the V & A.

And in the Transport Museum.

And the London Museum at Docklands.

Model of London, the Building Centre

I went to the Building Centre on Store Street the other day. I love big models of cities, and this is the best bone of London I've seen.

Isle of Dogs and the Millenium Dome

The new buildings under construction in the city, including the Shard, the Heron building etc.

There are one or two mistakes in the map. For instance, theres no bell tower on westminster cathedral here.

Where I live is just off the map.

The Olympic Park.

The pink dot marks the Building Centre where this model is.
