The famous Rowley Way, in the Alexandra and Ainsworth estate in north west London. I used to cycle past this on the my route to work up Abbey Road. Designed in 1968, work started in 1972 and finished 1978. This is one of my favourite streets in London. It reminds me of a 1970s, pre Star Wars sci-fi film. Like Rollerball filmed in the new concrete buildings of Munich or Logans Run shot in downtown Dallas. It has been the location of quite a few movies and TV programmes, from the Sweeney to Prime Suspect.
It has a definite community feel, with exhibitions and talks on the design and history of the estate on at the residents association.

Just cycling around London
A sign on a building just off Clerkenwell Road.
Big silverback seen just off Kingsland Road
A very fine example of the peeling sign
Down Bermondsey Street
I'm sure someone somewhere must understand these pavement markings.
Near Petticoat Lane
Just off Hackney Road
Nicely faded sign close to Borough Market
Southwark Street.
I love concertina style doors
Bad architecture off Hackney Road
First Post
First post, a bit of a test. An abandoned newsagent in De Beauvoir Town. This blog is just going to show photos of stuff I see as I cycle about London, that I think are interesting. Like a thousand other blogs.
